Martin Luther King was assasinated in a Hotel located in Memphis Tenessee, shocking the world. The most important figure of the civil rights movement passed away leaving a felling of sadness, anger and justice. But instead of weaken the movement, it just continued to go forward, looking for justice and the rigths for the black community. It also radicalized many moderated activists, being related to the growth of groups like the Black Power movement and the Black Panther Party in the late 1960s and early 1970s.Añadido al timeline:
