28 agos 1963 año - March Washington
Descripción:
The march sought to address the conditions under which the majority of black Americans lived at the time and facilitate (meaningful civil rights laws, a massive federal works program, full and fair employment, decent housing, the right to vote and adequate integrated education.)
In addition to gaining public support for the civil rights movement, it served as an appeal for equality and justice, it also helped pave the way for the ratification of the Twenty-fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution and the passage of the Civil Rights Act.
