Most people had a lot an I mean a lot of problems after the independence from Britian. One struggle was that Farmers couldn't pay their taxes or their payments for their land. SO the banks siezed the farmers land. But like alway's somebody didn't like that. So in January of 1787 a farmer named Daniel Shays led a farmers' uprising. SInce the Congress didn't have an army the Massachusetts Militia was called to stop Shays's Rebellion. But the Congress was still uneasy so they called a convention of he states to discuss changing the Articles of Confederation.
