Allowed Britain to borrow vessels and arms from the US. Britain's ships kept getting sunk, so they needed replacements. After Nazis sunk some American ships, Roosevelt makes an agreement with Churchill to allow US ships to patrol Atlantic. FDR really wanted to protect trade that was happening in the Atlantic.
