NWSA: After Stanton and Anthony broke off, they created the NWSA, which did not support the passing of the 15th amendment on the grounds that it should also allow female suffrage. Also lotta suffragettes racist af. Started their new initiative The New Departure which argued that the Constitution already gave women the right to vote based on their citizenship. Voted in 1868 and 72 in protest. SBA was arrested, but later acquitted.

AWSA: Founded after the AERA broke down. Did support the 15th. Drew in a lot of black women.
