(begins) After becoming a new nation, delegates from 12 of 13 states met with the purpose of revising the Articles of Confederation. However after much debate, the founders decided to scrap the articles of confederation and start a new document known as the Constitution. Full of compromises, the constitution serves as an example for many other nations throughout the world.
