President Washington continued to strengthen the executive branch by authorizing the use of 2 000 troops by executive power to attach and defeat Indians that had gathered at British fort. This victory resulted in the Treaty of Greenville that forced Indians to grant the U.S. large amounts of land and further strengthened Executive Power.
