The raids of the Insurgent Army in the summer of 1920 were markedby the pitiless nature of the Soviet-Makhnovist struggle. Thus on
July 13 the Chaplino group of VOKHR annihilated the Makhnovist
group of Klein. Two thousand (!) Makhnovist prisoners were shot
by the Chaplino force.
