28 mayo 1830 año - Indian Removal Act
Descripción:
The Indian Removal Act gave the government power to trade Native-held land in regions east of the Mississippi for land to the west that was called the Indian colonization zone. The law called for the government to negotiate the treaties fairly. President Jackson ignored this, and forced Native Americans to leave their lands. This walk was known as the Trail of Tears.
