28 jun 1898 año - Curtis Act
Descripción:
The Curtis Act of 1898 said that Indian tribes to divide their property and disassemble their governments or the U.S. would come and do it for them. Indian tribes reluctantly complied but they were some who actively resisted the Curtis Act. There was the Four Mothers Society who resisted being registered in the census. Another group was the Chitto Hajro or Carzy Snake Rebllion who formed their own government, outlawed allotment, renting land to non-Indians, or hiring white workers.
