A radical bolshevik and member of the Bavarian communists tries to assassinate Rupprecht, King of Bavaria.

The attack outrages the pro-monarchist Bavarian public and changes the public image of the communists, who had previously been seen as a serious, but politically moderate force due to its critical stance towards the Hannoverian revolutionaries and the Russian bolshevik movement.

The royally appointed administration around Michael Horlacher fails to meet public expectations of retaliation and Horlacher soon prepares his resignation for mid 1935.
