Founded in October 1969 and located in the United States, United Kingdom, and Norway. DARPA developed the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET) which is the network that would become the basis for the internet. The idea would lead to the interconnection of four university computers which would serve the purpose of to communicate with and share computer resources among mainly scientific users. And with the development of the TCP/IP protocols in it made it possible to expand the size of the network. Eventually, ARPANET was handed over to a separate new military network and NSFNet which was a network of scientific and academic computers funded by the National Science Foundation.
