The Populist's party also known as the people's party was organized in 1892 in St. Louis. It was founded by mostly agrarian radicalsit and was formed to represnt the people and working class of amercia including the farmers and factory workers. One of the main beliefs of this politcal party was that the use of silver shold be intergrated into the econmoy along with gold with silver being priced at one sixteenth the price of gold. This party would also be the lasy politcal party to attempt to make it to the white house solely on agrarian votes for a majority.
