Led by the US D-Day, codenamed operation Neptune and sometime called the Normandy landings this was the largest seaborne assualt in history 4,414 confirmed dead soldiers for the US and 4,000 to 9,000 dead for the Germans.
1. This event was the turning point in the war which ended WW2 this was a huge victory for the allies.
2. The job for the soldiers on D-Day that were supposed to run up the beach to invade the Germans fort was very dangerous, before the soldiers were set to leave a person shot off their own finger to avoid going into this conflict. one can only imagine the terrifying experience they went through.
3. This event effected many people you would have to be extremely brave to be apart of this it is extremely terrifying, once you think about it almost impossible to pull off.
