1 h 17 m, 15 mayo 1765 año - Quartering Act
Descripción:
There were practical concerns of troop deployment
Each colonial assembly ordered to provide basic needs for soldiers stationed in the US
Specific items such as bedding, firewood, cooking utensils, alcohol, and candles were needed
Law expanded in 1766 to require colonists to billet soldiers in taverns and unoccupied businesses
Some viewed the law as legit and wanted to protect the colonists, some wanted to cut down on costs
