Up until this date, Kinston had a tube that went into his mouth down into his stomach. Then, they had a pump that would slowly feed milk through that tube. Since Kinston had been intubated since the moment he was born, he never learned the "suck, swallow, breath" system of feeding. Our doctor wanted a way to feed him so that he didn't lose nutrition but at the same time learn how to eat using speech therapy. Now, he receives milk and all his meds through his g-tube. At least he doesn't fight us when it's time to take his medicines. :) KC also has the cutest g-tube covers. He has a pizza slice, sports balls, and one that looks like our dog George.
