24 oct 1929 año - Wall Street Crash

Descripción:

This marked a reduction in shares bought, leading to a rush to sell shares, which made the shares worthless because there was an abundance to be bought. This decreased the demand for goods which put many companies out of business because materials had to be sold at an unprofitable price to actually be bought. As shown in an image attached to the "Creation of the Dawes Plan" event, America would give loans to Germany, which would give loans to Britain, France, and Italy, who would give loans back to America. America required the Allies to repay them, despite America's improved economy as a result of the war. The Wall Street Crash put a halt in money sent to Germany, then cutting off the flow to Britain, France, and Italy, who had all relied on U.S. contribution to get payments through and give back payments to. That is how the Wall Street Crash spread to other countries. Political and social instability came with economic stability, causing people to become more desperate and support extreme leaders, which contributed to the fragility of peace during this time period.
