George Floyd, a Black man, was killed by mostly white police officers In Minneapolis, Minnesota. Like other Black men killed by officers, he was heard saying "I can't breathe" while a white police officer was pinning him down with his knee on Floyd's neck. Thus began worldwide Black Lives Matter marches in the U.S., and many other countries.
