Meeting between Truman, Atlee, Stalin. Issued an ultimatum (Potsdam Declaration) to Japan that required Japan to surrender or “meet prompt and utter destruction” - Japan did not respond and the atomic bombs were dropped days later. Also agreed to hold war crimes trials for Nazi leaders.
