The Legend of the Founding Of Rome was founded by twin brothers Romulus and Remus. When the twins were born, their uncle Amulius had their mother Rhea Silvia imprisoned and the twins to drown in the Tiber River. But the twins were founded by a she-wolf in the river and she took them in, Luperca, whose behavior had attracted the attention of shepherd Faustulus, who took them home and were raised by his wife Acca. As the boys grew up, robbers kidnapped Remus, but then assassinated Amulius once Numitor recognized Remus and Numitor was restored back to power. Population grew, and Romulus and Remus decided to found a new settlement. They could not decide on a name, which had led to a fight, and Romulus killing Remus.
