Summary: This movement fought to benefit the health of the Earth by creating restrictions and adaptations to pollution-causing machines and pesticides.

Outcome: The government created a list of endangered animals as well as trials and rivers that will be protected. Earth Day was founded. Several acts are created to protect the environment during this time, including The Clean Air Act, Ocean Dumping Ban Act of 1988, Endangered Species Act, Energy Tax Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
