Located in modern-day New York, /the confederacy built with both federalism and a type of bicameral council that would later inspire the framework of the U.S Constitution./ Even Benjamin Franklin consistently pushed for the Five Nations Confederacy to be a model for the United States and some even believe that the preamble to the U.S Constitution was clearly adapted from Iroquois oral traditions.
