"With all this migration and council being ruled by the government, new ideas would pop up and the Enlightenment came into play." The Enlightenment was a movement that was based only on reason. The concept that God was over everything and was the cause of everything was being questioned and that scientific research could prove the people wrong about religion was everything. People like Benjamin Franklin lead this movement with writing a book like Poor Richards's Almanac.
