Descripción:
John Calvin died at the age of 54 in Geneva, Switzerland from a long illness. Many believe that his work put a great amount of strain on his health. In 1558, Calvin contracted malaria, but continued working on his "Institutes." In 1563, Theodore Beza described him as "exhausted by labor" and "broken down by suffering." At his end, Calvin suffered from lung trouble, gout, and excruciating pain in his kidneys and bladder. Through his work, Calvin became one of the greatest theologian that ever lived and his works are credited as being one of the primary agents of the Protestant Reformation. His teachings sparked one of the greatest movements in Christian history but this was not without controversy.
