14 mayo 2018 año - Israel Mints a Temple Coin
Descripción:
A Temple Coin was needed anciently to offer as a token by the men who attended the temple. This was why there were money changers outside the temple. You could not pay tribute to God with a Roman Coin, so it needed to be changed to a Temple Coin. If you did not have a Roman coin, you could bring an animal or even doves to exchange for a temple coin.
The moving of the US Embassy in May of 2018 was so significant in recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, that the Jewish people minted a commemorative Temple Coin. It is being used as a fundraiser for their Temple – but also to honor US President Trump. In the book of Ezra, we see that King Cyrus though not a Hebrew/Jew was very instrumental in getting their second temple built. The coin reads: “And He charged me to build Him a house in Jerusalem” (Ezra 1:2)
