(1740-1780): Was the first female Habsburg ruler in the 650 year dynasty, and she was targeted many times for being a woman. Frederick William of Prussia was a main enemy of hers, but she never held her own in all of the wars she participated in including the War of Austrian Succession, she ruled Austria and much of the Holy Roman Empire, this proved to Europe that females could be leaders too.
