A british general had a plan to attack the colonial cities of Lexington and Concord to seise supplies and important colonial leaders. Spies leaked the attacks, sending men, including Paul Revere, to tell the countryside that the British were coming by sea. British soldiers and Minutemen found each other at Lexington, someone fired a shot, labeled the "shot heard 'round the world" It is still unknown who fired the shot. These battles mark the start of the American Revolution.
