A bacterial pandemic that may have left 200 million dead (worldwide) by the time it's over. Europe lost 25% of it's population to the disease, and there were many big social changes because of it, including more rights for peasants and farmers! (Imagine being a lord, and everyone that farmed food for you died, so you would have to offer MORE money to the people up the road to farm for you!)
