27 abr 1773 año - The Tea Act
Descripción:
This act provided financial relief for the East India Tea company which was a royally chartered private business. The company had debt and a huge surplus and as a result of high import duties Britain and colonists would buy smuggled Dutch tea. The act gave the company a loan and canceled the import duties to Ireland and the colones. Merchants started to protest because the East India Tea company was selling tea straight to the shopkeepers, and the american wholesalers lost a lot of money. This made the colonist made because many people were losing buisness.
