A woman came to the police station and told police that a man had taken her child hostage. Officers responded to the home. Officers heard shots fired inside the home the man and the child were in. Police entered the home. The man allegedly confronted the officers, and officers shot and killed the man. Officers found the child in a separate room suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
