1 ene 1902 año - Women get to Vote
Descripción:
In 1902, Australia was the first country to let women have the right to vote and to be voted. Before 1902, women were not treated equally and were told they were too emotional and not smart enough to understand politics. Women became suffragettes. This means that they protested for their voting rights. Suffrage means the right to vote for politicians.
Voting is all about having your say in the world and before 1902, women didn't have their say. The outcome of this happening was that men and women were treated equally and they weren't unfair towards women.
This changed Australia by letting women have their rights and letting them have a say. Women were not treated equally and on this day, they finally got their rights. Many women still are being compared to men and not getting the same rights.
