Tassili n'Ajjer, Algeria. 6000-4000 B.C.E. Pigment on rock.The painting shows great contrast between the dark and light mediums used. There is also great detail put into the decorations of the woman. Most interestingly, though, there is a transparency to the larger woman and the figures behind her show through.
