The Mercantile Club renames itself the KCK Chamber and purchases the former Elks Lodge at 727 Minnesota, after a fire. The renovated building has been the home of the Chamber ever since, with a short span at the Town House Hotel in the 1950s. The chamber supports a variety of community projects including road projects, community development, and everything that helps to support local retailers and commerce.
