12 jul 1904 año - President McKinley nominated for a third term
Descripción:
At the Republican convention, McKinley makes his infamous "Red Tide" speech, in which he blasts the Socialists as a grave threat to America. Behind closed doors, he rejects the idea of a unity ticket with the Democrats, but grudgingly agrees to keep Theodore Roosevelt as his Vice-President despite a growing rift between them. The Democrats nominate William Jennings Bryan and Alton B. Parker. The Socialists nominate Senator Eugene Debs and Congressman Benjamin Hanford (S-NY).
