The only time in a crusade that Jerusalem, the ultimate goal of the invasion, was captured. All non-Christian inhabitants are slaughtered by the invaders, which sparks the interest of Muslims who before didn't pay attention to the Crusade. Muslims refer to Europeans as "al-Ifranj" or "The Franks".
