Mao’s widow and her supporters wanted to continue the cultural revolution
Eventually, the moderates won, and Mao’s widow and her supporters were put on trial and sentenced to life imprisonment for treason.
Deng Xiaoping became the new leader of China, and he opened up China to other countries and increased China’s economy drastically.
