Pro-Democracy Demonstraters met at Tiananmen Square and discussed how they wanted to end corruption in the ruling party.
Thousands of students staged hunger strikes to protest government orders.
In early Chinese leaders took action using tanks and armed troops to Tiananmen Square.
Hundreds of protesters were killed and more were wounded.
This became known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre.
This action caused most western nations and national aid agencies to stop or cut back on loans to China.
This then led for tourists to stop visiting China which caused China to try and find news ways to replace the money that was lost from the lack of tourists.
