Descripción:

A ceasefire was agreed in which a number of terms were imposed on Iraq by the UN:
-Iraq had to pay reparations
-Iraq's air force were not allowed into certain areas of Iraq so he could not regain control
-They had to agree to inspections from the UN to search for and destroy all weapons of mass destruction
-Until the WMDs were destroy Iraq had more harsh trade sanctions imposed on it.
-Iraq had to recognise Kuwait's independence.
