The New Oracli come back to their hotel to find everyone in the hotel sick with what seems to be a Void Plague, a plague in which the person's body slowly disappears into the void until only their consciousness is left. They explore, talk to residents, and realise that the disturbance is due to a hereto unknown species known as the Void Walkers, a species who live and can travel through the Void. She reveals that her name is Scarlet and that she is on the run from her people after trying to get rid of their ruthless dictator. The New Oracli agree to shelter her and keep her safe as one of her own, as well as help her to learn her powers.
