This was the first time the Yankees massacred Mexicanos in Vera Cruz, but not the last” (pg34)La ciudad estaba en llamas. Se caían los edificios; por todas partes morían civiles [...] Por fin, los mexicanos se entregaron. Esta fue la primera vez que los yanquis mataron a veracruzanos, per no la última.
