1 ene 571 año - ACT 2 Jutes then Anglo-Saxons invade

Descripción:

Finders from Denmark then, when invading south england, take back Anglo-saxons with them.
Defense towers built along west and south coasts of island 1.

Stories of Arthur travel to P5, inciting revolt against invaers.

However ultimately, many anglo saxons settle on the islands, having a major impact on culture and language.

Like the Vikings and the Greeks, the Anglo-Saxons believed in many gods and had many superstitions.
The king of the Anglo-Saxon gods was Woden, a German version of the Scandinavian god Odin, who had two pet wolves and a horse with eight legs.
Other gods were Thunor, god of thunder; Frige, goddess of love; and Tiw, god of war. These four Anglo-Saxon gods gave their names to the days of the week. Tiw became Tuesday, Woden - Wednesday, Thunor - Thursday and Frige - Friday.
Anglo-Saxons were superstitious and believed in lucky charms. They thought that rhymes, potions, stones and jewels would protect them from evil spirits or sickness.

Bit of Christianity. In England, during the 7th century most of the Anglo-Saxon nobility was converted to Christianity and, over time, the general population followed suit.

For anglo saxons, Girls worked in the home. They were in charge of housekeeping, weaving cloth, cooking meals, making cheese and brewing ale.
The people took on traditions but the people, especially in towns, rejected the inequality between genders.
Boys learned the skills of their fathers. They learned to chop down trees with an axe, how to plough a field and how to use a spear in battle. They also fished and went hunting with other men from the village.

Only a few girls and boys learned to read and write. The sons of kings or wealthy families might be taught at home by a private teacher. The only schools were run by the Christian church, in monasteries. Some children lived there to train as monks and nuns.

Metalworkers made iron tools, knives and swords. Woodworkers made wooden bowls, furniture, carts and wheels. Potters made pottery from clay. Jewellers made beautiful brooches, beads and ornaments from gold, gemstones and glass.

This is a set of gaming pieces. They were used in boardgames, like we use counters and dice today.
