- Svornakom, the government set up by Lenin, installed in power. Under control of Lenin.

- Central Committee of the Bolshevik Party the central decision making group which gave the members of Svornakom. Followed the principle of democratic centralism (obedience of the members to the central power/leader)

- Wanted a socialist republic

- Ended war with Germany
