Descripción:

The Canadian government created the Pass System,
comparable to the racial identity cards in Rwanda.
The Pass System was established due to the
settler population's fear of Indigenous
peoples congregating. It was a process wherein
Indigenous peoples would have to produce a
certified travel document to move inside and outside
the reserves. The Pass System's documents were
akin to the handling of issued classification cards
in Rwanda.
