After the uncontrolled rule from a broken promise made by Miguel Primo De Rivera, he took power for longer than he should have, and in turn did not better the country. The country was sent into a place with no social reform and higher taxes. When the people complained about all these new policies trying to fix his mistakes, this only led to inflation and the resignation of the army.
