The country of Spain struggled politically and economically. With the economy not improving the Spanish people grew upset. As king and dictator who were in charge, Miguel Primo de Rivera and King Alphonso were blamed and forced to leave the country. This was marked as a failure of the monarchy, therefore, the Second Spanish Republic was established.
