The treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty signed in the palace of Versailles in France. it was put in place as an attempt to stop Germany from having enough power to start another war.,but they abused their power and forced Germany to pay for damages and to give land back and humiliated them. Germany had to print more money to pay back the Allies and their economy went bust.
