The first modern Olympics took place in Greece the First person to win something in over 1,500 years was James Connolly he won the triple jump. He also finished second in the high jump and third in the long jump. The Olympics started to bring all different country’s together and compete to see who the best was. It changed a lot of things because now we have an Olympics every 4 years to compete and see which country is number 1.
