14 mayo 1825 año - Uruguay Independence
Descripción:
On May 14, 1811, Uruguay pronounced freedom from Spain. Toward the start of the nineteenth century, after numerous times of constrained Spanish control, Jose Gervasio Artigas, a banished military official, drove the long battle for political opportunity, and that freedom happened as expected in 1825. Montevideo was established as a military fortress by the Spanish in the mid-eighteenth century, meaning the contending claims over the area. Uruguay won its autonomy somewhere in the range of 1811 and 1828, after a four-path battle among Portugal and Spain, and later Argentina and Brazil.
