16 dic 1773 año - Boston Tea Party

Descripción:

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 16, 1773. The protest was caused by the Tea Act of May 10, 1773, which let the British sell tea in the American colonies with only the colonists paying taxes the taxes. There was tea involved, but nobody drank it. They directed the protest by boarding three trade ships which had tea on them then, throwing the tea off into the Boston Harbor. They threw off 342 chests of tea into the water! Some of the colonists disguised as Mohawk Indians, but their costumes didn't fool the British. They knew who had ruined the tea.
