Seward goes to Hillingham once more and finds Van Helsing already there, presenting Lucy with a parcel of garlic flowers sent by his contact Vanderpool. He explains that inhaling the odor of these flowers will help to enact Lucy's cure and instructs her to wear a wreath of them around her neck at night.
